Replacing Albany, CA Rubber Playgrounds?

A new feature is being added to a lot of playgrounds - the rubber
floor. If you've ever stepped on a rubber floor, you'd know it. It's
like having a second bouncy sole attached to the sole of your shoe.
While the rubber-floored playground is an upgrade to wood chips, dirt,
concrete and asphalt, there's still no comparison to a play area with
a lush lawn. And one that is not only lush, but one that is also
maintenance-free and looks beautiful all year long. Albany's
GrassEstimate makes it a reality.

When you talk about safety, concrete and asphalt are lacking when it
comes the shock absorbing qualities you're looking for in regards to
your children's well being, qualities that GrassEstimate provides.
Have you ever rolled around on wood chips? Enough said. The rubber
floor, which is made from recycled tires and sneaker soles, is a fun
alternative. For children, it's fun to play on, as it provides a
little extra bounce to their step. Now look at the surface as an
adult. 1) The rubber floor is porous, and the pores hold bacteria. 2)
It stinks. It's old rubber. Old rubber isn't an option in the air
freshener aisle for this very reason. 3) The surface cracks. Over
time, water gets in the crevices. The water expands and contracts with
temperature causing cracks and an unsightly surface. GrassEstimate
offers a consistent, safe and comfortable artificial turf lawn for the
children. Consistently maintaining its appearance over years while
supporting the activity of the youth. Safely exceeding the suggested
support in fall zones to ensure the protection our children deserve.
Comfortable enough for wheelbarrow races and for falling during the
three-legged race. GrassEstimate is also more comfortable on those
hot, summer days. The rubber surface draws and radiates the heat,
while GrassEstimate is more comfortable to be around. Now that you are
aware of the sensibility of GrassEstimate's synthetic turf application
on the playground, allow us to share some other ideas to increase
safety in your children's play area: Monitor equipment regularly - no
way of telling how wear and tear will effect the equipment's
performance. Also, loose or jagged edges could cause injury. In
plastic equipment, look for cracks. These cracks could lead to sudden
breaks in the equipment or pinched skin on your kids. In wood
apparatus, look for splinters and decaying wood. In metal, you will be
looking for corrosion. We are certain that GrassEstimate's
long-lasting artificial grass is the ideal addition to the ultimate
play area. Feel free to discuss your design ideas today email
