Re[Not to be supercilious, why?]: [albany-residents] Albany, CA top 10 taxpayer list

My concern with these numbers is regarding who is not there. In the
Bay Area if our base is a race track and super markets and Target, it
raises the question is that the best we can do? Albany could be an
exciting place for a business incubator? Albany could be home to web
companies like Google who is looking for another East Bay office
location? What about green firms, nanotech, medical and the health
fields and more bioscience companies? Where are they?

Will we ever be home to a big hitter in these arenas? What community
will get them when we miss out? Why? Apple's headquarters did
wonders for Cupertino's public schools. With the home owners already
financially stressed do we really want to go to people who own 2-3
bedroom 1 bath houses to pay for community common resources? We don't
have to house the manufacturing for a large renewable energy company,
we could attract their headquarters, couldn't we? Best,

Perry
