Role/Responsibilities:
Our client, a Fortune 1000 company supporting the
biotech pharmaceutical space, has embarked upon a strategic
initiative for operational excellence. This includes driving
business integration and process simplification across our consolidated
global enterprise. This highly visible role will be a key
member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CIO.
This role will interact with all senior leadership, and will be a key
business partner and thought leader to the CFO and SVP of
Global Operations.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Define the systems strategy to support the
global operations of company. Working as a member of the leadership
teams for both the CFO and the SVP of Global Operations, this will
include defining a clear plan for global supply chain and shared service
operations. Aligned to this goal, modernize administrative systems
as needed to make employees effective in their daily tasks.
* Direct a team of IT professionals responsible
for supporting the current technology and delivering your strategy.
* Establish and manage an integration competency
center to easily interface data among software platforms across
company.
* Introduce tools and processes to make software
development and systems integration more effective and
predictable.
* Lead the IT organizational effort to develop
and manage global outsourcing relationships for application
development and support.
Position Qualifications:
* Bachelors (4-year) Degree in a Management
Information Systems or an IT Discipline
* A minimum of 12 years directly relevant
experience in a technology management role, including significant time
in an international fast moving technology based business.
* Demonstrated leadership in a senior level
IT/eBusiness operational role. This includes direct supervisory
experience - demonstrating the ability to energize and motivate
others
* Outstanding communications skills -- must be
proficient in communicating to all levels of the organization
* Demonstrated large project management
expertise (in excess of $1M USD); including the ability to manage multiple,
diverse project teams to deliver business value
* Depth of understanding in cross-functional
business processes, including an understanding of processes
required for the sale, manufacture, and service of products in a global
and regulated environment
* Strong organizational and financial analytical abilities
Desired Qualifications:
* Advanced degree
* Previous experience in the healthcare or
healthcare product industry; FDA Validation expertise; retail or
distribution experience
* Certified in Project Management Principles and Practices
* Six Sigma certified
